This year, Haven House launches The 100 Club, which will see 100 local businesses pledge to raise £1,000 each for the children's hospice. Haven House community fundraising executive Amy Bramble reports.

The 100 Club will be a community of like-minded local organisations working together to inspire, support and encourage each other in their businesses, while pledging to achieve an annual fundraising goal of £1,000 each for Haven House Children's Hospice. We have put this initiative together in recognition of the valuable support local businesses have been offering since the hospice opened its doors 15 years ago.

As coordinator of the club, I am hoping to have 100 businesses signed up in time for the official launch in March. If we can confirm 100 members by then, there's a fantastic chance that by April 2020, the club will reach its collective target of raising £100,000. This will be a substantial contribution to our hospice and will be something every member of the group will be able to be proud of.

Members of The 100 Club will receive a variety of benefits, including logo and link to their website on our 100 Club web page, monthly newsletters, regular networking events, publicity and press opportunities. They will also receive plenty of fundraising support to help them reach their target.

There are many ways businesses can raise money for us, such as dress-down Fridays, cake sales, coffee mornings and much more. Members will be provided with buckets, banners and balloons to display in their workplace. Payroll-giving is also a great way to fundraise and is a scheme that allows employees to make donations from as little as £1 a week to Haven House before any tax is deducted from their salary, so the donation is, effectively, tax-free. And do check if your employer match-funds donations or offers volunteering hours.

Each business will also receive The 100 Club logo to display on their business premises and promotional material, demonstrating their commitment to supporting their local children's hospice.

Companies have been signing up for The 100 Club at a rapid rate. However, there are still places left for any who would like to get involved before the launch.

We are welcoming local businesses of all sizes into The 100 Club, so even if you don't work locally, perhaps you know someone else who might be interested in joining us.

You can also help The 100 Club and its members by simply looking out for the logo and supporting their fundraising events and activities in your local community.
